Donald Trump’s Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is a self-declared “crusader” who believes the USA is in a “holy war” against China, the left, and Islam. “Communist China will fall”, he vowed in his 2020 book “American Crusade”, promising, “Israel and America will form an even tighter bond, fighting the scourge of Islamism and international leftism that will never fully abate”. Ben Norton reports on his extremist record.
These have been said over and over since these people’s cabinet nominations. Shall we look what the same figures who after becoming cabinet members now, what is collective functioning of the new cabinet? Do they abused their power to push those personal advocates?
Ben Norton, are you out of subjects about what the US and world’s current affairs now? There has been a lot of recent dynamics, if you notice.
These were about these cabinet members’ earlier advocates before they took the function in the new cabinet. They are not saying anything like that now on their government functions, and they do not possess powers implementing thoss earlier advocates. now. Like Pete Hegseth, leading DOD is a job position who follows president’s order along with the cabinet’s functions. This is not like Trump’ previous 4 years of administration, during which bureaucrats who run against the President. By not listening to those bureaucrats, in fact, there was a rare 4-year absence of wars under Trump’s presidency.
About against China: also in fact, Trump’s current administration, so far talked so few about China, that meant its priority is not against China. Although China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs wanted to escalate the duty dispute into “any kinds of wars”. That was not what US said. It is China who is so worried about its relevance in the world. Trade, reciprocity is the only US agenda (by the way, I think it is reasonable, taking a practical matter that US federal government is broke, and China-US diplomacy is not even normal, Xi also rejected invitation of a summit at the change of US governing).
I observed the fashion in world politics these days: act on imaginative threats. Like:
West European want to defend a imaginative Russia invasion;
China is a military threat to the world;
Freedom of speech will trigger a new Nazi movement;
also including: a secretary of defense wrote a book for crusading Islam or China.
The major premise is not examined, but the conclusion has been already drown. Like the latter, Pete Hegseth has to become President himself to push his personal advocate. Who he is not. By taking the new job function as the secretary of defense, he already gave up his personal ideas but serve the States. And so as those earlier national security advisor and director of defense. They already crossed line to act like a politician against the president.
Thus this is the other fashion of the pair: people tend to abuse their position and power for personal agendas, like:
John Bolton against the president’s negotiating peace with world rivalries;
General Miller called Russian defense official presents on behalf of the State with his non-authorized conclusion;
John Kerry told European leaders that it (Trump administration) will be soon over;
also including a postman threw away the mail-in votes which he should block them to be counted for the Republican candidate.
US now is a new government administration who intends to change. I thought we all hated those 40+ years of government dictatorship, harsh regulations, public funding abuse, social injustice and warmongering. Also like COVID, US is examining its own responsibilities in government for funding developing the technology; then hopefully China is also examining its own responsibilities for spreading the leaked virus into the world. Also likewise, Russia has not been the continuity of the communist Soviet Union; Both Chinese and Westerns should get over with it. NATO should have not existed after Warsaw Pact disolved.
People, Shall we move onto the reality, about what is going wrong, or even notice, doing right?
